Custard Butter Cookies

These cookies melt in your mouth and are simply wonderful! I first baked them when I was a teen, and could never forget the taste. I found this recipe again, and now I bake them once in a while.
They are, like all cookies, high in fat. Most popular in Hyderabad, where they put in all sorts of dry ingredients into the cookies. The basic recipe is good enough for me.

- 250 gunsalted butter
- 155 gicing sugar - sifted
- 250 gplain flour - sifted
- 155 gcustard powder - sifted
- 1egg - beaten
Cara
- 01Put the butter and icing sugar in the mixer and cream until light and fluffy.
- 02Add the egg, and when emulsified, add the flour and custard powder.
- 03Mix less than 1 minute, just enough for the dough to come together. Do not overmix.
- 04Shape them into 1/2 teaspoon round balls.
- 05Coat with sugar.
- 06Press each ball with a fork.
- 07Bake at 180C for 15 minutes.
- 08Cookie is very light in color and melts in the mouth.
